Biodetection-Canine Handler-Practitioner Certification
A theoretical psychometric test designed to methodologically evaluate the competence of the handler as a practitioner.
Get certified through the world's first biodetection certification ecosystem that unifies all users under one operationally-proven, scientifically-explainable, legally-defensible odor standard, choosing from an international team of industry-leading SCENTMasters and SCENTCertifiers available wherever in the world you are.
Methodology — Global Certification Structure
The SCENTSOURCE™ global certification process consists of three modular options. Certified canines are badged according to their certification years, indicating seniority and experience in odor-based detection.
A theoretical psychometric test designed to methodologically evaluate the competence of the handler as a practitioner.
A modern certification process for the canine alone, involving a series of odor-recognition tests performed using an inert glass dispenser plus at least one additional material that may be porous (e.g., boxes), reductive (e.g., membranous plastics), or reactive (e.g., metals).
Dual participation of canine and practitioner as a detection team — working cooperatively, synergistically and symbiotically through time-controlled, stress-infused, double-blind search-and-detect certification-worthy scenarios.
Why It Matters
Four convictions form the backbone of the SCENTSOURCE™ Global Certification Initiative.
Built on field-tested methodology validated by working canine biodetection teams across disciplines and continents.
Every odor signature, evaluation, and result is grounded in vibrational olfaction theory and standardized parent-odor logic.
A unified, documented standard that holds up in courtroom scrutiny and regulatory review worldwide.
One standard, one ecosystem — practitioners and certifiers operating from the same scientific framework wherever they work.
